How Palma de Mallorca taxi prices are calculated

The official Mallorca taxi tariff is a single island-wide meter. Its legal basis is Decree 20/2025 of 23 May, in force since 25 May 2025. Consult the official Mallorca taxi tariff published by Palma City Council.

For taxi costs in Majorca, the meter amount is shaped by these tariff elements:

• Time bands: Monday to Friday, 07:00–21:00; Monday to Friday, 21:00–07:00, plus Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays.
• Flag fall: €2.50 in the weekday daytime band and €2.85 in the night, weekend and holiday band.
• Distance charge: €1.20 per km in the weekday daytime band and €1.35 per km in the night, weekend and holiday band.
• Airport or port supplement: €4.65.
• Minimum fare: A minimum fare of €16.95 applies to taxi journeys starting at Palma Airport.
• What the minimum covers: It includes the flag fall, that supplement and the first 7 km.
• Passenger supplements: €3.00 for 5 or 6 passengers; €6.00 for 7 or 8 passengers.
• Waiting time: €19.40 per hour in the weekday daytime band and €21.40 per hour in the night, weekend and holiday band.
• Christmas and New Year: A supplement of €4.75 applies.

Per-person prices for groups

A single vehicle can take your whole party, with bookings for as many as twelve passengers. Add every child and infant to the passenger total, as each needs a seat.

• Palmanova: €13.75 per person for a group of eight; €10.75 for twelve.
• Alcúdia: €20.25 per person for a group of eight; €14.92 for twelve.

What your fixed price includes

At reservation, the per-vehicle fare is confirmed for your journey, and that agreed amount does not change. Your driver takes you door to door, from arrivals to your hotel, apartment or villa address.

Your driver waits at the arrivals hall (arrivals terminal) of Palma Airport, between columns 3 and 4, in front of the Paul Express coffee shop, holding a sign with your name. Your flight is monitored. Once it lands, the included waiting window lasts 1 hour. If it arrives late, the delay is added to that window, which can run until 2 hours after the flight actually lands.

Baby seats, child seats and boosters are provided free of charge, and you may bring your own seat. Each passenger may bring 1 standard suitcase up to 23 kg, 1 item of hand luggage and 1 small personal item. An extra suitcase costs €7 each and should be declared when booking.

The return trip to the airport
